Regarding the Specified Skills
Effective April 2019, the new specified skills visa will be implemented in Japan as a solution to the ongoing workforce crisis. That implies that there will be a significant increase in demand for foreign workers approximately to 345,150 from April 2019 up to the year 2024. This means that the new specified skills visa will greatly impact the company/ business production with their financial growth. On the other hand, this also means more chances of employment for foreign skilled workers and professionals who want to work in Japan.
What sectors are eligible for
(1)All workers- Workers must pass both skills test given by the 4 competent ministry in the assigned 14 Industry and the level N4 Japanese Language. Japan skills test is the only basis for knowledge of skills and competency.
(2)Former TITP or Ex-Trainees- are exempted as long as the same TITP learned skills to applied specified skill working(SSW) visa with minimum 3 years intern training.
(3)Shifting Ex-Trainee -to a new skill/job category means you will be treated as first timer so you need to pass both N4 Language & skills test prior shifting.
All (1), (2) & (3) cases needs to apply to a POEA Agency authorized SSW-Sending Organization with authorized (JO) Job Order by POEA that passed through verification of employers/dispatching Company from POLO Tokyo or Osaka.
